Our commitment

Web Design Alaska is committed to making this website accessible to as many people as possible. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, which is the standard commonly referenced under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

What we have done

• Semantic page structure with a single main heading and a logical heading order on every page.
• Text alternatives for images and descriptive labels on form fields and navigation.
• Keyboard access to all interactive elements, with a visible focus outline.
• A "Skip to content" link so keyboard and screen-reader users can bypass the menu.
• Color contrast that meets AA, and link styling that does not rely on color alone.
• Respect for the "reduce motion" setting — animations are minimized when your device requests it.
• Automated accessibility testing across the site as part of our build process.

Known limitations

We test continuously, but some content may not yet be fully optimized for every assistive technology. We treat accessibility as ongoing work and fix issues as we find them.
